ANNOUNCEMENT:
I am in fact still alive and still working.
It's been a busy 8ish months since my last update. Two new guitars have been built, as well as a tube amplifier. You can check them out in the Past Projects, Custom Orders, and Current Projects pages. I've developed a Thinline Progenitor, a refined MK II (1st customer order!), and threw together a tube amp and matching cab.
LOCATION INFORMATION:
Still living and working in NW Omaha. Due to a lack of funds, I've been unable to move out of my garage. However, the work continues onward, as it always shall. Also, due to a variety of issues, I will not be moving out of Omaha for the forseeable future for any guitar factory jobs. I'm sure this is both a blessing and a curse, but I'll take it as it comes.
REGARDING THE UPDATED LACEY ACT
As some of you may have heard, in September, Gibson Guitars was raided by the federal government for allegedly importing wood illegally from India. This has also raised many concerns regarding travelling across borders with guitars made with exotic woods.
While I will not open the can of worms that is my opinion on the matter, allow me to assure you. Though my guitars are made with exotic woods, using non-endangered, legally imported woods is a priority to me. If ever you are worried about the availability of a wood for a custom order, I will do my best to ensure it is legal to obtain and get pertinent information to allow international travel.
The guitar manufacturing industry must remain flexible with the materials it uses. When nitro lacquer was banned, the industry standard changed to poly-vinyl. When Brazillian Rosewood was banned, we changed to Indian. For the sake of our businesses, customers, and environment, the industry must be able to cut ties to the old and embrace the new.
FINAL NOTE:
As always, feel free to call or email with any questions. My bench is fairly open, currently. Get your repairs in now while I can still say I'm not backed up.
